Where and how you can work
Ravenswood is the home to our headquarters in Chicago, Illinois. We take pride in having a friendly, open office life that is relaxed and honest. This role requires the Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to be onsite at the office two-three days a week.
What you'd be doing in this role
Your expertise will be critical in defining QA strategies, processes, and best practices, while mentoring and developing the talent that joins the team. Collaboration will be key as you work closely with the Product and Development teams, providing valuable insights and feedback to enhance product quality.

• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: You'll work closely with Product, Design, and Development teams to understand business needs and ensure the quality of our software.
  
• Turn Requirements into Actionable Tests: You'll create test cases that ensure everything works as it should.
  
• Provision Test Environments: You'll manage test environments to run accurate and reliable tests.
  
• Uncover and Report Issues: You'll analyze test results, discover defects, and report them clearly.
  
• Own the Testing Process: You'll create and execute test plans that assess the quality of our applications.
  
• Apply Technology Expertise: You'll leverage your knowledge of web technologies, REST APIs, and languages like Java, Ruby on Rails, XML, JS, CSS, and HTML.
  
• Communicate Progress: You'll keep the team updated on test progress and results.
  
• Perform with Autonomy: You'll execute your role with minimal supervision.

  • You have technical knowledge to excel in this role.
    
  • You have 5-7 years honing your skills in QA, giving you a deep prowess in software testing.
    
  • You've worked with APIs, REST, and SOAP services, using tools like Postman, or SoapUI.
    
  • Manual testing for web-based technologies comes second nature to you.
    
  • You have proficiency in testing distributed components in a microservice environment.
    
  • You are secure in your critical-thinking skills and have excellent communication skills.
    
  • Legal software experience is a plus!
