Specialist (Part-Time, Exempt)Overview of PositionBy The Hand Club
For Kids is seeking a dedicated and organized College and
CareerSupport Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis.
Reporting to the Director ofCollege & Career Support, The College
and Career Support Specialist (CCSS) supportsstudents in transition
to and pursuit of post secondary paths. The College and
CareerSupport Specialist assists students and their families as
they move through college,helping them overcome academic, career,
social, and financial barriers. This role is essentialin fostering
communication with mentors in our NXT Steps Mentoring program
andcoordinating logistics for our monthly events. The Specialist
will also support currentcollege and career students, helping to
facilitate partnerships with educational and careerdevelopment
organizations. He/she exhibits a Christ-like attitude and a sense
of control,consistency, grace, and courtesy toward students. This
position may require travel tocollege
campuses.Duties/Responsibilities:
- Mentor Coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact for mentors in the NXT
Steps Mentoringprogram.
- Facilitate effective communication between mentors and mentees,
ensuring asupportive mentoring environment.
- Assist with recruitment and training of mentors.
- Event Logistics
- Plan and coordinate logistics for monthly events, including:
- Sending out invitations and managing RSVPs.
- Organizing transportation for students and mentors.
- Arranging meals and dietary accommodations.
- Collecting and processing permission slips from students and
guardians.
- Student Support
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to current college and
career students.
- Assist with academic and career planning, including resource
navigation andgoal-setting.
- Coordinate care package support program.
- Offer biblical counsel to students and solicit prayer
requests.
- Assist with career research and the development of
employabilityskills to promote successful completion of college
degree oremployment training.
- Conduct check-in visits with current college students once
asemester.
- Partnership Facilitation
- Help maintain positive working relationships with partner
organizations.
- Collaborate with college representatives and assist in program
implementation.
- Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate records related to events, student
participation, and mentorengagement.
- Prepare reports on program effectiveness and areas for
improvement.
- Organizational Responsibilities
- Perform in a way that is consistent with the vision, mission,
and culture of By TheHand and commits to excellence in every aspect
of the overall operation.
- Model cultural values of By The Hand Club For Kids in
day-to-day behavior.
- Follow all policies as outlined in the operational guide,
including maintainingbrand standards and ensuring 100% adherence to
the Child Protection Policy.
- Participate in employee growth plans, including regular
personal developmentplan meetings.
- Work with supervisor to implement and enforce policies and
procedures tofurther the BTH religious purpose and religious
freedom.
- Perform all other duties as required and assigned.Required

Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in School Counseling or related degree.
- Experience using Google Suite products and MS Office
Suite.
- Must have a valid driver's license, available transportation
and their own auto insuranceto travel to sites and colleges.Work
EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment.
This role routinely uses standardoffice equipment such as
computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and faxmachines.
This job is not a virtual job, but it requires in-person attendance
as agreed uponby your immediate supervisor.Physical DemandsThe
employee is regularly required to speak and listen. This role may
require you to moveequipment from room to room and lift up to 50
pounds. The individual is also required totravel to other
